LARKANA, Dec 27 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, paid rich tribute to former Prime Minister and Shaheed of democracy, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, on her 18th death anniversary by visiting her mausoleum at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh here on Saturday.
The Governor laid a floral wreath at the grave of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and offered Fateha, praying for the elevation of her ranks.
Speaking on the occasion, Faisal Karim Kundi said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto was a shining symbol of democracy, supremacy of the Constitution, and the struggle for the rights of the people.
He said that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto devoted her entire life to the promotion of democratic values and resistance against dictatorship.
The Governor added that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto was not only the first woman Prime Minister of Pakistan but also the first woman Prime Minister of the Muslim world.
Faisal Karim Kundi said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto still lives in the hearts of the people of Pakistan and that her life continues to serve as a role model for women across the country. He said her political vision, democratic struggle, and sacrifices are a guiding light for future generations.
The Governor remarked that the martyrdom of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto gave new life to democracy in Pakistan.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan Peoples Party remains committed to carrying forward the mission of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and will continue its struggle to make Pakistan a strong, democratic, and prosperous country.
