FAISALABAD, Dec 27 (APP): The divisional administration has launched the ‘Hello-Faisalabad Municipal Corporation Motorbikes Squad’, dividing the city into 15 zones to tackle urban issues effectively.
The initiative was inaugurated on Saturday by Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar, who distributed keys for the e-bikes to squad members.
Speaking to the media, the commissioner explained that the squad will focus on identifying key municipal problems, including encroachments, streetlight maintenance, cleanliness issues, dog control, wall-chalking, illegal parking, and missing manholes in their respective zones. The squad members will promptly report these issues to the relevant authorities for resolution.
In addition to the physical patrols, Anwar revealed that a digital system will be introduced under the ‘Hello-Faisalabad’ initiative to enhance response times. The system will allow citizens to register complaints via WhatsApp, with quick action from departments such as the Municipal Corporation, WASA, PHA, FDA, Punjab Food Authority, and the Environment Protection Department.
