SUKKUR, Dec 27 (APP):A PML-N delegation on led by Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq reached Sukkur to pay tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on her death anniversary at Garhi Khuda Bux on Saturday.
Speaker National Assembly, Ayaz Sadiq stated that the delegation came to offer prayers and pay homage to Benazir Bhutto.
He said that he became Speaker with votes from all parties, that’s why he was here. “We have old agreements with PPP leaders, including Asif Ali Zardari. We will pay tribute to Benazir Bhutto and pray for her”, he said.
He added that our goal was to promote democracy. PPP and PML-N would work together and play a long innings.
Regarding Imran Khan, the Speaker NA said that Courts do their job. The facilities I have got in jail have not been given to anyone, he said and added that politically, I am convinced that talks resolve issues. “We have always tried to resolve matters through dialogue”.
He emphasized that the founder of PTI never believed in political dialogue. The Prime Minister has repeatedly said they are ready for talks. I have also said my office is open for negotiations. But PTI needs to decide, Ayaz Sadiq said.
The PML-N delegation was welcomed by Provincial Ministers, Sharjeel Memon, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Ijaz Jakhrani and Mayor Sukkur Barrister Arsalan Islam Sheikh.
