Gold, silver prices rise in local market

ISLAMABAD, Dec 26 (APP): Gold prices recorded an increase in the local market on Friday as the price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs 500 to Rs 473,362 as compared to Rs 472,862 on the previous day, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs429 to Rs405,831, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold went up by Rs393 to Rs372,025.
In the international market, gold prices rose by $5 to $4,510 per ounce.
Meanwhile, silver prices also witnessed an upward trend as the price of 24-karat silver per tola increased by Rs240 to Rs7,945, while 10 grams of silver gained Rs206 to settle at Rs6,811.
In the global market, silver prices climbed by $2.40 to $74.70 per ounce.
