Academies of sciences of Belarus, Vietnam actively implement joint scientific projects

MINSK, Dec 26 (BELTA/APP): Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vladimir Borovikov took part in a ceremony marking the 50th anniversary since the foundation of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Hanoi.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Chi Dung, heads of government agencies, scientific and educational organizations, the diplomatic corps, and mass media.
In a brief conversation Vladimir Borovikov congratulated President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology Chau Van Minh and the entire staff of the Academy on the anniversary. He drew attention to the active dynamics of cooperation between the academies of sciences of the two countries, including the implementation of joint research projects. Apart from that, the importance of implementing results of projects and research into the real economy and the manufacturing sector was emphasized during the meeting.
The parties confirmed their interest in continuing mutually beneficial cooperation, which is particularly relevant after Belarusian-Vietnamese relations have been elevated to a strategic partnership.
The ambassador exchanged opinions about items on the bilateral agenda and the international agenda with a number of high-ranking representatives of Vietnamese government agencies and heads of diplomatic missions.
