ISLAMABAD, Dec 26 (APP): President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was accorded a grand red-carpet welcome as he arrived here on Friday at the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif along with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir warmly received President of UAE Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Nur Khan Airbase. Key cabinet members and senior officials were also present on the occasion.

The UAE President, accompanied by a high-powered delegation including ministers and senior officials, was given a 21-gun salute as he stepped off his aeroplane at the Airbase.
Upon his arrival at the airport, children clad in traditional attire presented bouquets to the UAE President.
On this occasion, the national anthems of the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan were played. UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was also presented a guard of honor by a smartly turned-out contingent drawn from Pakistan’s armed forces at a welcome ceremony held at the airbase.

Later, PM Shehbaz Sharif and UAE President introduced their respective delegations to each other.
According to a press statement issued by the PM House, this is the first visit of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Pakistan as the President of United Arab Emirates.
During the visit, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will hold a meeting with the prime minister, where the two leaders will review the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The visit would provide an important opportunity to further strengthen the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
