LAHORE, Dec 26 (APP): Lahore Police have arrested 2722 people over violation of the Tenancy Act so far this year.
According to a spokesperson, 1,785 cases were registered against the accused. CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamiana said the Tenancy Act was being fully implemented and the registered data continuously checked.
Unregistered tenants are a security risk while tenancy registration plays an important role in identifying elements with criminal records, he added.
He directed the house and properties owners, tenants, property dealers and persons concerned to ensure implementation of the Tenancy Act. Immediate action will be taken in case of violation, he warned.
