PESHAWAR, Dec 26 (APP): Commissioner Peshawar Division Riaz Khan Mehsud on Friday directed the officers of the Social Welfare and other relevant departments to resolve the collective social issues of the disabled community on a priority basis.
Hevissued these instructions during a meeting with a delegation of persons with disabilities from various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, affiliated with the Ehsaas Disabled Foundation and led by President Azmatullah here at his office.
During the meeting, discussions were held on the issues faced by persons with disabilities.
The Commissioner also instructed the officials concerned to address the personal problems raised by the delegation members.
Speaking to the delegation, Commissioner Riaz Khan Mehsud assured that his doors are always open for all citizens, especially persons with disabilities.
He stated that persons with disabilities are a vulnerable segment of society and have the full right to live a normal life just like able-bodied individuals.
