RAWALPINDI, Dec 25 (APP): The Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) has completed a grand cleanliness operation across all tehsils of the Rawalpindi Division in connection with Christmas and Quaid-e-Azam Day celebrations.
Prior to and following the events, every street, neighborhood, church, and graveyard was transformed into a zero-waste zone. Churches underwent thorough washing, Christian graveyards and their surrounding areas were cleaned with garbage removed, local Christian neighborhoods achieved zero-waste status, and urban areas along with markets received comprehensive sanitation.
CEO Rawalpindi Waste Management Company Rana Sajid Safdar stated that this cleanliness drive was aimed at promoting religious harmony, peace, and national unity in the city during Christmas.
He highlighted that RWMC teams had ensured complete washing of churches, cleaning of Christian graveyards, and zero-waste campaigns in local communities across the division. He described the sanitation workers as the true heroes of the city, whose tireless efforts make the atmosphere for Christmas and Quaid-e-Azam Day celebrations possible.
These operations not only improve the environment but also foster civic awareness, religious harmony, and unity. Without the dedication and hard work of the workers, maintaining a clean and transparent city would not be feasible. Every street, graveyard, and church cleaned reflects their genuine service to the public.
