SIALKOT, Dec 25 (APP): Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Saba Asghar Ali attended a Christmas ceremony at St Joseph Church, where she cut the cake and extended greetings to the Christian community.
According to a spokesperson for the DC office, special cleanliness, decorative lighting and foolproof security arrangements were made at churches, Christian localities and major markets on the directives of the Punjab Chief Minister, while Christmas bazaars were also arranged.
Meanwhile, the DC chaired Quaid-e-Azam Day speech competitions at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Sialkot Cantt, where certificates and trophies were distributed among position holders.
She urged the youth to follow the teachings of Quaid-e-Azam and promote patriotism.
