ISLAMABAD, Dec 25 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday paid rich tribute to the security forces for successfully carrying out an intelligence-based operation against Indian proxy militants of Fitna-al-Hindustan in Qalat district of Balochistan, terming the operation a strong message to enemies of peace and stability.
In a statement issued by the Presidency, the president said the elimination of terrorists backed by India demonstrated the resolve of Pakistan’s security institutions to safeguard the country and protect its people. He praised the exceptional bravery and professional capabilities of the security forces, stating that their sacrifices and vigilance were central to the defence of national security and public safety.
President Zardari said such successful operations reflected the determination of the state to foil the designs of hostile elements seeking to undermine peace in Balochistan and elsewhere in the country. He reiterated the nation’s full confidence in the armed forces and security agencies in their fight against terrorism.
In a separate statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif also commended the security forces for their successful operation against Fitna-al-Hindustan terrorists in Qalat district.
The prime minister lauded the forces for neutralizing terrorists during the operation and said that under the government’s Azm-e-Istehkam vision, security forces were achieving major successes against terrorism.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the entire nation stood shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan’s armed forces in the war against terrorism. He reaffirmed the government’s firm resolve to eliminate terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and to continue decisive action against elements threatening the country’s peace and stability.
The prime minister emphasized that the sacrifices of security personnel would not go in vain and that the government remained fully committed to ensuring lasting peace, security and stability across Pakistan.
