ISLAMABAD, Dec 25 (APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have deployed more than 3,500 officers and personnel across the federal capital to ensure foolproof security on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas, with special focus on churches, Christian localities and public places.
A police spokesperson told APP on Thursday that armed police personnel have been deployed at churches, while additional force has been stationed at sensitive worship places to ensure the safety of the Christian community during Christmas celebrations.

The spokesperson said that DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq is personally supervising all security arrangements, while supervisory officers are maintaining constant liaison with church administrations to ensure coordinated and effective security measures.

He added that Safe City Islamabad cameras are being used to continuously monitor Christmas and Quaid-e-Azam Day events across the city, enabling real-time surveillance and swift response.

According to the spokesperson, all patrolling units and special police contingents are conducting effective patrols around churches, Christian residential areas and other sensitive locations to prevent any untoward incident.

Islamabad Police reiterated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remains its top priority, and comprehensive security arrangements have been put in place to ensure that all religious and national events are observed peacefully.
