PESHAWAR, Dec 24 (APP): Provincial Minister for Health, Khaliq ur Rehman Khattak on Wednesday formally inaugurated General Medicine B Ward and CPC Hall at Qazi Hussain Ahmed Medical Complex MTI, Nowshera and Multipurpose Hall at Nowshera Medical College.
The inaugural ceremony was also attended by Member National Assembly Syed Shah Ahad Ali Shah, Members Provincial Assembly Mian Muhammad Umar Kakakhel, Ashfaq Khan and Zar Alam Khan.
On the occasion, Chief Executive of Nowshera Medical College and Hospital, Professor Dr. Hamzullah Khan and Medical Director Dr Usman Haqqani warmly welcomed the distinguished guests briefed the minister on various departments of the hospital and medical college.
During the briefing, the challenges faced by the hospital were also highlighted. The minister assured full cooperation to the hospital and medical college administration and stated that improving healthcare facilities across the province remains a top priority of the government.
The minister inaugurated General Medicine Ward and multipurpose Hall of the medical college and conducted a detailed visit of the newly established ward. They reviewed the medical services being provided in various departments of the hospital particularly in Trauma Emergency Department.
He appreciated the efforts of the hospital and medical college administration and expressed hope that these initiatives would help ensure the provision of improved and quality healthcare services to the public.
