BAHAWALPUR, Dec 24 (APP): The Department of Pakistan Studies, in collaboration with the Department of Law and the IUB Kashmir and Nazaria-e-Pakistan Society, organised a grand commemorative event to mark the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the Founder of Pakistan, at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB). In his message, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran expressed pride in commemorating the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam and stressed the importance of instilling his ideals among the younger generation. He said that Quaid-e-Azam’s vision, leadership, and principles continue to guide the nation in its journey towards progress, harmony, and unity.
The event featured keynote addresses by Dr. Rubina Yasmeen and Dr. Ramzan Tahir, who highlighted various aspects of Jinnah’s life, ideology, and historic role in the Pakistan Movement. Dr. Rubina Yasmeen emphasized Quaid-e-Azam’s unwavering commitment to democracy, equality, and justice, urging students to adopt these values to help build a strong and united Pakistan. Dr. Ramzan Tahir highlighted Jinnah’s visionary leadership and his struggle for a peaceful, progressive, and inclusive state.
Faculty members, students, and representatives of the Nazaria-e-Pakistan Society also addressed the gathering, paying rich tribute to Quaid-e-Azam’s lasting legacy and national services. A special documentary depicting the life and struggle of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was screened, inspiring the audience to reflect on his ideals and sacrifices. The event concluded with a collective resolution to uphold Jinnah’s vision for Pakistan and to work together for national unity, progress, and stability.
