BAHAWALPUR, Dec 24 (APP): A Christmas ceremony was held at the Commissioner’s Office Bahawalpur under the chairpersonship of Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Musarat Jabeen.
The event was organised to celebrate Christmas with Christian employees serving in the office and to share in their festive joys. During the ceremony, a Christmas cake was cut and cash gifts were distributed among the Christian employees. They were warmly congratulated on the occasion and extended best wishes.
Addressing the gathering, Commissioner Musarat Jabeen stated that the divisional administration is fully committed to safeguarding the rights of all minority communities and stands equally with them in their moments of happiness.
She stressed that the constitutional rights and religious freedoms of minority communities were being ensured at all levels. The commissioner further noted that all minorities living in Pakistan play an important role in national development and prosperity, and that the Christian community, in particular, has rendered valuable services toward the country’s progress.
She reaffirmed the government’s and administration’s resolve to continue practical measures for the welfare and well-being of minority communities. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Commissioner Musarat Jabeen extended heartfelt Christmas greetings and best wishes to the Christian community. Additional Commissioner Coordination Dr. Nayyar Mustafa, along with other officers and staff members, was also present on the occasion.
