RAWALPINDI, Dec 24 (APP):The Additional District and Sessions Court has convicted and sentenced two individuals in a murder case.
The crime occurred in April and was reported at Sadiqabad Police Station.
After a detailed trial that examined forensic evidence, witness statements, and other material placed on record, Judge Nadia Ikram Malik delivered the verdict. Sania Shahzad was found guilty of murder and sentenced to life imprisonment.
She was also ordered to pay Rs. 400,000.0 as compensation to the legal heirs of the deceased. In addition, under Section 201, for causing the disappearance of evidence or giving false information to screen the offender, she received seven years of imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000.0
Junaid Bhatti, the main character, was convicted of the murder charge and sentenced to death. He was further ordered to pay Rs 400,000.0 in compensation. Under Section 452, for house-trespass after preparation to commit an offence, he was awarded seven years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000.0
