MUZAFFARABAD, Dec 23 (APP): As the general elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) are coming nearer, expected in June next year, political activities aimed at securing the Pakistan Muslim League (N) ticket have intensified significantly. In this connection, a large and well-attended public gathering was organized in Union Council Chark Pora under the chairmanship of Shafqat Ali Chaudhry, a ticket aspirant of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Central Deputy Secretary Finance. The gathering was attended by party workers, office-bearers, local elders, and a large number of people from the constituency.
Addressing the meeting, Shafqat Ali Chaudhry said that the politically aware people of Constituency Khawara have now clearly decided which candidate should be awarded the Pakistan Muslim League (N) ticket. He stated that ignoring public opinion and the sacrifices of party workers is unacceptable under any circumstances.
He warned that if the leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) in Azad Kashmir makes the ticket decision under pressure, expediency, or personal interests, its negative consequences will not be limited to Constituency Khawara alone, but the entire party across Azad Kashmir will have to bear the loss.
Shafqat Ali Chaudhry emphasized that the Pakistan Muslim League (N) is not the personal property of any individual or group; rather, it is a popular, democratic, and ideological party founded and led by Quaid of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. He said that, God willing, they will personally approach Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and present the stance of the people and workers of Constituency Khawara with full courage, honesty, and strong arguments, and will return victorious in this struggle for truth and justice.
He further stated that no individual can usurp the democratic and fundamental rights of the people of Constituency Khawara through temporary fame, media exposure, or artificial displays of power. Party workers are fully united, and respect for the public decision will be ensured at all costs. He reaffirmed that the real strength of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) lies in its sincere workers and the masses, whose voices cannot be suppressed by anyone.
Shafqat Ali Chaudhry said that the people of Constituency Khawara have always supported the Pakistan Muslim League (N) and will continue to play their role in further strengthening, organizing, and ensuring the success of the party in the future. He urged party workers to make unity, discipline, and democratic struggle their identity and to firmly defend the public mandate before the party leadership.
