PESHAWAR, Dec 23 (APP): The district administration on Tuesday removed permanent encroachments from a waterway in Mauza Kakar along Charsadda Road on the directives of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar, Captain (Retd) Sanaullah Khan.
According to officials, illegally constructed structures blocking the water channel were demolished to restore the natural flow of water and improve drainage in the area.
The DC said encroachments on waterways were against public interest and caused serious drainage issues.
He added that operations against encroachments would continue without discrimination and urged the public to avoid illegal construction on government land, drains and waterways.
