MULTAN, Dec 23 (APP): A meeting regarding the establishment of a modern sports arena and public parks in New Shams Colony was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Aamir Karim Khan.
The meeting focused on enhancing urban infrastructure, promoting healthy activities, and improving the overall beauty of the city.
During the meeting, Director General Multan Development Authority (MDA) gave a detailed briefing on proposed and ongoing development projects in New Shams Colony, including the construction of sports grounds, recreational parks, and other allied facilities.
The condition and improvement of the Muslim High School boundary wall, Muhammadi Ground, and surrounding areas were also reviewed.
The meeting further discussed plans for fancy and theme-based designs on city flyovers, along with the installation of modern lighting systems on MDA-managed roads to improve aesthetics and safety.
Addressing the participants, Commissioner Aamir Karim Khan emphasized that the development of sports grounds and parks plays a vital role in engaging the youth in positive and healthy activities. He stated that making Multan a clean, green, and beautiful city was a top priority to ensure a healthier and better environment for citizens.
Keeping in view urban beautification, environmental sustainability, and public convenience, the commissioner directed the concerned departments to expedite the implementation of the projects.
The DG MDA also briefed the meeting on ongoing and upcoming development schemes aimed at improving civic facilities across the city.
