ISLAMABAD, Dec 22 (APP): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi hosted a Christmas ceremony for police officers and staff belonging to the Christian community at the Police Lines Headquarters.
An ICT Police spokesperson told APP on Monday that senior police officials, including DIG Headquarters, AIG Logistics and other senior officers, attended the ceremony to express solidarity and goodwill with Christian officers and staff serving in the force.

During the event, IGP Rizvi congratulated Christian police officers on Christmas and distributed gifts among them. He, along with senior police officers, also cut a Christmas cake with Christian officers and staff, creating an atmosphere of harmony and mutual respect.

Addressing the gathering, the IGP Rizvi said that Christian officers and staff were a source of pride for Islamabad Police and had rendered valuable services in different fields. He highlighted that the Christian community had played an important role in the development of the country and continued to contribute positively to national progress.

He said that Christmas symbolised love, peace, brotherhood and service to humanity, adding that the role of Christian police officers in serving the country and the nation was commendable and highly appreciated.
The IGP Rizvi further assured that Islamabad Police would ensure foolproof security arrangements across the federal capital during Christmas celebrations so that members of the Christian community could observe the occasion peacefully and safely.
