PESHAWAR, Dec 22 (APP):Rain has swept across all five tehsils of Mansehra district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, further intensifying the cold weather, while snowfall has begun at the tourist destination of Babusar Top and continues intermittently.
Rainfall has been reported in Mansehra’s five tehsils, including Kaghan Valley, Naran, Batakundi, Besal and surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, Babusar Top and nearby regions have been experiencing intermittent snowfall for the second consecutive day.
Following the snowfall, the intensity of cold has increased significantly in the upper mountainous areas of Mansehra.
The rain is expected to reduce dust and seasonal illnesses, which had affected many people in recent days.
Experts say that the rain and snowfall will help overcome water shortages and have a positive impact on crops, while also easing drought conditions. However, the cold spell has further intensified.
According to the Meteorological Department, this spell of rain and snowfall is likely to continue intermittently, due to which the plain areas of Mansehra will also remain under the grip of cold weather.
