Vice Sport Minister Crowns American learner Tien champion of Next Gen ATP finals

Jeddah, Dec 22 (SPA/APP): Vice Minister of Sport Bader bin Abdulrahman Alkadi crowned American player Learner Tien on Sunday as the champion of the Next Gen ATP Finals presented by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), hosted by the Kingdom for the third time in Jeddah from December 17 to 21, 2025.
The event was organized by the Saudi Tennis Federation (STF) and the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), supervised by the Ministry of Sport.
The American player secured a 3-0 victory over his Belgian opponent, Alexander Blockx, to claim the title and earn more than $0.5 million from the total prize pool exceeding $2 million. The match was held before an outstanding local and international audience and media presence at the King Abdullah Sports City arena throughout the tournament.
The Kingdom’s hosting of this event is a continuation of its success in organizing major continental and international sporting events and championships, under the supervision of the Ministry of Sport, as part of its active contributions to achieving the sports objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
