LAHORE, Dec 19 (APP): The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Friday arrested a human smuggler involved in human trafficking and visa fraud during a raid conducted by the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Lahore.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the accused, identified as Asghar Ali, was apprehended from Lahore in a targeted operation. The suspect had allegedly defrauded a citizen of Rs 3.5 million by falsely promising employment in Australia.
The spokesperson said the accused failed to send the victim abroad and later went into hiding. Following intelligence-based action, the FIA arrested the suspect and initiated further investigation.
