Talking to media representatives, the BISP Chairperson stated that the Social Protection Wallets have been launched on the special instructions of the President of Pakistan and the Prime Minister to further enhance transparency in the payment system.
She reiterated that SIMs are available only at BISP centers and that activation of women’s digital wallets is carried out exclusively by trained BISP staff.
Senator Rubina Khalid further informed that BISP is working towards establishing a system under which deserving women will be able to withdraw their payments from any bank’s ATM after biometric verification, making the payment mechanism more convenient, secure, and efficient.
Later, during her visits to the BISP District Office Keamari and Tehsil Office Harbour, the Chairperson reviewed ongoing operations related to SIM issuance and beneficiary facilitation.
On the occasion, MPAs Sadia Javed and Shazia Karim Singhar appreciated the success of the initiative and the continued efforts aimed at empowering women through transparent and accessible financial support.
