Search operations conducted in Kohsar, Shahzad Town police limits

ISLAMABAD, Dec 19 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police conducted search and combing operations in the jurisdictions of Kohsar and Shahzad Town police stations as part of enhanced security measures to curb criminal activities and ensure public safety in the federal capital.
An official told APP on Friday that the operations were carried out under the supervision of the respective zonal SPs, adding that police personnel were properly briefed before the exercise, while women police officers also took part in the search process.
During the operations, police teams checked 157 individuals, 90 houses, 16 shops and hotels, 43 motorcycles and 19 vehicles. The official said that six suspicious persons and one motorcycle were shifted to police stations for further legal proceedings and verification.
The official added that such search and combing operations are being conducted regularly across different parts of Islamabad to strengthen vigilance in sensitive areas and maintain law and order.
SSP Operations  Qazi Ali Raza said the primary objective of these operations is to tighten the security cordon around criminal elements and further reinforce the city’s overall security framework. He reiterated that indiscriminate action would continue against criminals, land grabbers and drug traffickers.
He urged citizens to cooperate with police during checks.
