WAH CANTT, Dec 19 (APP):Upholding its tradition of promoting technological creativity and innovation, HITEC University Taxila has organised its eighth annual technology festival ” Robo Fiesta”, transforming the campus into a vibrant hub of robotics, artificial intelligence and engineering excellence.
The three-day event attracted students, young engineers and technology enthusiasts from across the country, providing them with a competitive platform to showcase innovation, practical problem-solving skills and futuristic ideas. More than 500 teams and over 2,000 participants from different regions of the country took part, making this year’s Robo Fiesta one of the largest editions to date.
Vice Chancellor, Dr Kamran Afaq, along with Mahad Shah representing the university administration, lauded the efforts of the students and the organizers, stating that Robo Fiesta was an annual flagship event designed to nurture young talent and encourage hands-on learning.
They noted that the participants were provided accommodation and substantial prize money, reflecting the university’s commitment to supporting innovation and technical excellence.
The festival featured a wide range of competitive events, including Robo Wars, high-speed RC car racing, artificial intelligence demonstrations and advanced automation challenges.
The participants presented creative projects, experimental models and real-world solutions, highlighting the growing strength of the country’s youth in emerging technologies.
The event concluded with a grand award ceremony, where outstanding teams and projects were recognized for their innovation and technical merit.
The Organizers said Robo Fiesta offered an invaluable learning experience, enabling students to compete, collaborate and gain exposure to cutting-edge technological trends.
They added that Robo Fiesta had evolved beyond a conventional technology festival into a celebration of young minds, bright ideas and Pakistan’s technological future.
The event also projected a positive and modern image of the country, reaching a wide audience nationally and internationally through social media platforms.
