Youth misled in past, PPP provides genuine platform for positive political role: Saleem Haider

ISLAMABAD, Dec 18 (APP): Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Thursday said that in the past the youth were misled, which adversely affected their future and the PPP has always stood as a genuine platform for young people to contribute positively to national politics.
Addressing the several prominent leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced their decision to join the Pakistan Peoples Party, Saleem Haider welcomed young political workers who joined what he termed the “party of martyrs,” assuring them that they would not face disappointment.
He said that despite difficult conditions in Kashmir in the past, no one abandoned the PPP, reflecting the party’s strong ideological foundations.
Saleem Haider highlighted Faisal Rathore as a young and emerging leader in Kashmir and expressed confidence that the PPP would once again form the government in the future.
He said that the services and achievements of the PPP for Kashmir deserved to be written in golden words.
The Governor said that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is the true heir of the martyrs and is not only the leader of the party but a national necessity.
He said that although the PPP had suffered political and electoral losses in the past, it never allowed harm to come to the country and always placed national interest above party considerations.
Saleem Haider said that the PPP is fully supporting the current political system in the interest of stability.
Referring to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s recent visit to Punjab, he termed it historic, noting that several MNAs and MPAs joined the PPP during the tour.
Those who formally joined the PPP includeded Chaudhry Zahid Fareed, Vice Chairman District Jhelum Valley; Chaudhry Muhammad Shakeel, former Speaker Youth Assembly; Chaudhry Sajid Rafiq; Chaudhry Abid Hussain; and Chaudhry Sajid, along with their associates and a large number of supporters.
The announcement was made in the presence of Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider and President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Yasin.
Speaking on the occasion, the newly inducted leaders expressed complete confidence in the leadership Bilawal Bhutto, appreciating his people-centric vision and policies aimed at empowering the youth.
They said that under his leadership, the PPP is the only political party that fully understands the political, economic and public challenges facing the country and has the capacity to offer practical solutions.
Speaking on the occasion, PPP AJK President Chaudhry Yasin said that the history of the Pakistan Peoples Party is clear and transparent, adding that those who join the PPP have a bright and secure political future.
He said that the PPP came into existence due to the Kashmir issue and has always remained committed to the just cause of the Kashmiri people.
Chaudhry Yasin said that the ideology of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on Kashmir continues to guide the party today and that Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari follows the same vision.
He also recalled that the PPP restored parliamentary supremacy by transferring presidential powers back to parliament through the 18th Constitutional Amendment.
