ISLAMABAD, Dec 18 (APP):Global cybersecurity firm Resecurity on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with youth-led organisation Metrix Pakistan at Hazara University Mansehra to promote cybersecurity awareness, technology education and institutional collaboration in Pakistan.
The MoU was signed by Sharafat Khan, Managing Director of Resecurity Pakistan, and Hassan Nisar, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Metrix Pakistan, in the presence of students, faculty members and technology professionals at the varsity campus.
Under the agreement, both organisations will collaborate on initiatives focused on cybersecurity awareness, responsible use of cyberspace and understanding emerging digital threats. The partnership also provides a framework to support Resecurity’s engagement with the Pakistani market through academic institutions and youth-oriented platforms.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharafat Khan said collaboration with local organisations and educational institutions was essential to address the growing scale and complexity of cyber risks, particularly as digitalisation continues to expand across sectors in Pakistan.
Hassan Nisar told APP that the collaboration aligned with Metrix Pakistan’s mission of strengthening digital literacy and preparing young people to meet emerging technology challenges, adding that cybersecurity awareness was becoming increasingly important for students, entrepreneurs and small businesses.
The MoU, which does not involve immediate financial commitments, outlines cooperation on knowledge-sharing activities, workshops and awareness programmes related to cybersecurity and digital technologies.
