PDWP approves development projects worth Rs. 16bln

LAHORE, Dec 17 (APP):The 53rd meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) here Wednesday approved development scheme in various sectors with an accumulative estimated cost of Rs 16 billion.
Approval was also granted to forward Rs. 43 billion PULSE project to CDWP for final approval.
Chaired by Planning and Development Board Punjab’s Chairman Dr Naeem Rauf, the forum approved the following schemes:
Establishment of Model Agriculture Malls in Punjab (Phase-II) with an estimated cost of Rs. 1081.935 million.
Establishment of a Shrimp Estate with Value Chain Components at Chak 58NB, Tehsil and District Sargodha, at an estimated cost of Rs. 13 billion.
 Establishment of PFA House in Lahore at a cost of Rs. 1,200 million.
Strengthening Agricultural Marketing Information Service (SAMIS) through the Establishment of Market Facilitation Centers (MFCs) – (Position paper approved)
Construction of Dual Carriageway from Fateh Jang–Dhullian–Talagang Road to Kharala, with a length of 4.10 km in Tehsil Fateh Jang, District Attock with an estimated cost of Rs. 1,265.470 million
The meeting was attended by the board Secretary and members, Chief Economist and representatives from relevant departments including Finance, Irrigation, Tourism, Health, Special Education and HR&MA.
