ISLAMABAD, Dec 17 (APP):The Vice Chancellor (VC) of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST), Islamabad, Prof. Dr Zabta Khan Shinwari, Wednesday underscored the importance of Eurasian connectivity, describing it as a gateway to new avenues of progress and prosperity across multiple fields, including research and education.
He expressed these views during his address, while online participating in Pakistan-Russia Eurasia Forum 2025, organized by the Consortium for Asia-Pacific and Eurasian Studies (CAPES) in partnership with Zhitinovakay University of World Civilization and FUUAST in Moscow, the capital of Russian Federation.
The two-day event, titled “Forging Connectivity and Exploring People-to-People Partnership for a New Era,” brought together scholars, policymakers, researchers and academic leaders to engage in structured sessions focusing on academic collaboration, socio-economic issues and youth diplomacy.
Dr Shinwari emphasized strengthening bilateral cooperation in education, research, culture and people-to-people ties between Pakistan and Russia within a broader Eurasian connectivity framework.
He highlighted the role of academic and research partnerships in advancing innovation and scholarly exchange, aligning with the Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) research priorities.
Participants discussed joint research initiatives, academic mobility and strategies to foster sustained collaboration between universities of both nations.
