QUETTA, Dec 17 (APP):Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhel Wednesday said that for the real development and progress of the country and nation, it is necessary that we utilize the hidden talents of women more than half of our population,
He said that the nearly five thousand female students of the province’s largest Government Girls Postgraduate College, Quetta Cantt, are a ray of hope for our bright future and we need to educate them as well as make them economically independent to reach their full potential.
He expressed these views while talking to the female students and academic staff of Government Girls Postgraduate College, Quetta Cantt, during visit to Governor House, Quetta.
Principal Girls College Professor Sadia Farooqui, academic staff and a large number of graduating students were present on the occasion.
Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhel, while welcoming them, said that out of the 200 capable academic staff of Government Girls College, Quetta Cantt, 52 are distinguished scholars of PhD and MPhil.
He said that this not only reflects the college’s dedication to fostering intellectual curiosity and a thirst for knowledge, but also the female students act as a powerful force and inspire them to strive for similar heights of academic achievement.
Governor Mandokhel said that by investing in the education and empowerment of women, we are in fact investing in the future of our nation and it is essential that we continue to provide them with the necessary opportunities and resources to achieve their goals.
The college graduates asked various questions, which were answered in detail by Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhel.
The academic staff of Girls College demanded from the Governor that the need for more PhD and MPhil scholars be met immediately to make the BS program at the college level more successful.
