FAISALABAD, Dec 17 (APP):The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) organized an Art Gala showcasing startups, visual, graphic and textile designs, including handicrafts, paintings, clothing, jewellery and innovative business ideas, highlighting the creativity and entrepreneurial skills of students. Around 100 stalls set up by students of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities attracted large crowds of art lovers, making the event a vibrant display of colour and talent.
The Art Gala was inaugurated by UAF Vice Chancellor Dr. Zulfiqar Ali, along with City Traffic Officer Faisalabad Nasir Javed Rana, Vice Chancellors Dr. Zafar Ali Chaudhry (FMU) and Dr. Kanwal Amin (GC Women’s University), Director Public Relations Maqbool Malick, Dean Arts and Humanities Dr. Shazia Ramzan, Kiran Khalid and others.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Zulfiqar Ali stressed the need to promote innovation, creative thinking and entrepreneurship among youth, describing art as a powerful medium for expression and economic empowerment.
Other speakers praised the initiative, saying such platforms broaden perspectives, nurture hidden talents and play a vital role in personality development alongside academics. Dr. Shazia Ramzan noted that the gala not only provides relief from routine stress but also equips students to become job providers rather than job seekers, adding that organizing such events has become a valued tradition of the university.
