Governor urges graduates to prepare for practical life challenges

PESHAWAR, Dec 17 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi, has emphasized that young graduates must equip themselves to meet the challenges of practical life, saying that academic success is the result of students’ relentless hard work and dedication.
He expressed these views while addressing the 10th Convocation of Gandhara University Peshawar as the chief guest on Wednesday.
The ceremony was attended by Chancellor Rueda Kabir, Vice Chancellor Dr. Ijaz Hassan Khan, deans, faculty members, students, and parents.
The Governor distributed degrees and gold medals among 129 medical graduates of the years 2023 and 2024 in recognition of their outstanding performance. Vice Chancellor Dr. Ijaz Hassan Khan welcomed the Governor and other guests and briefed them on the university’s academic achievements.
Congratulating the graduating doctors, their parents, and faculty members, the Governor said that doctors constitute an important segment of society and urged young doctors to make service to humanity the hallmark of their professional lives.
He appreciated Gandhara University’s role in providing quality education and acknowledged its significant contribution to the promotion of quality medical education in the province.
The Governor said that over the past two decades, Gandhara University graduates have distinguished themselves in various fields, adding that the services of Gandhara University and other private educational institutions are valued and commendable.
