Adopting Pakistan first approach; preference to security of masses: Shehryar Afridi

ISLAMABAD, Sep 10 (APP):Minister of State for Interior, Shehryar Afridi Monday said provision of foolproof security and all required facilities to people, set to visit sacred places in overseas countries,
is being accorded priority amid practical efforts and collective approach.
Addressing a press conference flanked by Chief Minister
Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan, Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Qasim
Souri and others after a meeting here at Balochistan House, Afridi
told media persons, “We are working as a team in new Pakistan and
by adopting “Pakistan first approach” we are giving top preference
to security of masses.”
The Minister, who visited Quetta and other cities of
Balochistan the other day to discuss security of pilgrims (Zaireen), especially
during Muharram, said on special directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan,
federal government would take solid measures for provision of
all possible resources to facilitate pilgrims.
Shehryar Afridi said during his visit to Balochistan, he also
paid a short visit to Pak-Iran border city Taftan and asked
the local authorities to facilitate pilgrims and ensure that
they do not face any problems or difficulties, in accordance to
their travelling schedules.
Afridi said he also inspected immigration of pilgrims, so
that their problems could be solved in a proper way, adding
that number of immigration desks at Taftan has also been increased
to facilitate the pilgrims.
Lauding efforts and cooperation of Deputy Speaker National
Assembly, Qasim Souri, CM Balochistan, Usman Dar and others
parliamentarians, the Minister said he would visit every nook and corner of
the province.
“Working as a team we will not simply sit in offices rather
we will show results and utilize our all energies and resources
in addressing provincial issues and facilitate people of
Balochistan,” he maintained.
Raising Balochistan means raising of Pakistan, he added.
