QUETTA, Dec 16 (APP): Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Tuesday said that despite limited resources, Balochistan players have made Pakistan famous at International level.
He expressed these views while talking to World-renowned squash player Zubair Jahan Khan from Quetta called on him at Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
During the meeting, Zubair Jahan Khan informed the chief minister that he has represented Pakistan in international squash competitions and has been among the world’s top ten players.
He also informed the CM about the long and distinguished services of the Jahan family for the promotion of squash in Balochistan.
Bugti praised Zubair Jahan Khan’s performance at the international level and said that despite limited resources, Balochistan players have made Pakistan famous at the international level.
He said that the provincial government is taking effective steps to promote sports and patronize young talent.
The chief minister expressed his determination that government-level cooperation would continue for the promotion of squash and other sports in Balochistan so that more opportunities could be provided to young players to move forward.
On this occasion, Zubair Jahan Khan presented the Chief Minister of Balochistan with a commemorative shirt based on the signatures of international squash players as a souvenir and invited him to participate in the ongoing squash competitions organized by the Jahan family in Quetta.
