Minister Wajiha Qamar pays tribute to APS Peshawar martyrs

ISLAMABAD, Dec 16 (APP):On the anniversary of the Army Public School (APS) Peshawar attack, Minister of State for Federal Education & Professional Training, Wajiha Qamar, paid tribute to the martyrs, including children and teachers who lost their lives on 16 December 2014.
In her message on Tuesday, she said that the APS Peshawar attack remains a tragic chapter in Pakistan’s history, leaving the nation in deep mourning, describing the sacrifice of the innocent students and teachers as a permanent mark on the nation’s conscience.
She noted that they gave their lives in pursuit of knowledge, peace and a brighter future for the homeland.
She noted that despite the deep sorrow, the tragedy united the nation against terrorism.
 “Today, we renew our resolve that the state, institutions, and people will continue their collective struggle until extremism is eliminated,” she said.
Highlighting the importance of education, Qamar emphasized the commitment to provide every child in Pakistan with a safe and dignified learning environment.
 “The sacrifices of the martyrs symbolize our courage and will never be in vain,” she added.
She prayed that Allah Almighty grant the martyrs a high place in Paradise, bless their families with patience, and make Pakistan a cradle of peace and stability.
