DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Dec 16 (APP):The district administration of Upper South Waziristan has initiated practical steps to address the issues faced by persons with disabilities.
As part of efforts, Deputy Commissioner Asmatullah Wazir, held a special meeting with persons with disabilities at his office, during which they highlighted issues related to the issuance of disability certificates, financial assistance, medical treatment, and other challenges.
According to administeration, the deputy commissioner listened to their concerns and issued instructions on the spot to the relevant departments to take immediate and effective action.
He added that the welfare of persons with disabilities and ensuring their timely access to government facilities are among the top priorities of the district administration.
He said that the government was serious about protecting the rights of persons with disabilities and addressing their social and economic difficulties.
He assured that all genuine issues of persons with disabilities would be resolved on a priority basis.
Persons with disabilities present at the meeting appreciated the efforts of the district administration and expressed hope that their problems would be resolved soon.
