Abbasi pays tribute to martyrs of APS

ISLAMABAD, Dec 16 (APP):Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi Tuesday paid rich tribute to the martyrs of the Army Public School (APS) tragedy on its anniversary, saying that the sacrifices of the innocent children remain an unforgettable chapter in Pakistan’s history.
In his message, the minister said that the entire nation continues to share the grief of the families of the APS martyrs, adding that the brutal attack on innocent children was an attack on humanity that shook the whole country.
He said that the martyrs of APS strengthened the nation’s collective resolve against terrorism and infused new determination in the fight for peace. “The enemies of Pakistan can never succeed in their nefarious designs,” he added.
The minister reaffirmed that the war against terrorism would continue with full force until the elimination of the last terrorist.
He said that Pakistan’s brave armed forces and security institutions stand like a solid wall against terrorism and are making unparalleled sacrifices to safeguard the country.
Recalling the APS tragedy, Hanif Abbasi said that the memory of the martyrs teaches the nation lessons of unity, courage and steadfastness.
He offered prayers for the elevation of the ranks of the APS martyrs and for patience and strength for their bereaved families.
He emphasized that Pakistan will hold accountable those responsible for the bloodshed, saying that the nation will take account of every single drop of blood of its martyrs.
