LAHORE, Dec 15 (APP):The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) on Monday carried out a special road washing and cleanliness operation on Allama Iqbal Road in Gulberg Town as part of its ongoing anti-smog drive.
According to LWMC sources here, the company’s operational teams remained active across the city, conducting phase wise washing activities at major roads and public places to mitigate the harmful effects of air pollution.
Under this initiative, a dedicated sanitation operation was carried out early in the morning around schools, shops and markets located along Allama Iqbal Road.
Sources said that LWMC workers along with washer vehicles, participated in both manual and mechanical washing to remove accumulated dust from roadsides and clear footpaths.
In addition, water sprinkling was being carried out at regular intervals on key roads and public areas to help reduce smog intensity.
Sources further said that provision of eat and clean environment to Lahorites was the top priority of the company.
