ASHGABAT, Dec 11 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday arrived here on a two-day official visit to Turkmenistan at the invitation of Turkmen President, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Upon arrival at Ashgabat International Airport, the prime minister and his delegation were warmly received by Deputy Chairman of Cabinet Minister/in charge of Transport and Communications Agency at Cabinet Ministers of Turkmenistan Mammetkhan Chakyev.

Turkmen children attired in traditional dresses greeted the prime minister and the delegation in Urdu and presented a bouquet.
During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz will hold a bilateral meeting today with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to discuss mutual cooperation, regional connectivity, and partnership across energy, trade, and transport sectors.
He will also participate in major international events being hosted in Ashgabat, including the International Year of Peace and Trust 2025, the International Day of Neutrality, and celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.
The high-level forum is expected to bring together global leaders, diplomats, and policymakers.
PM Shehbaz is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Minister for Power Sardar Awais Khan Leghari, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistants to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi and Talha Burki.
