PESHAWAR, Dec 10 (APP): Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed visited Lakki Marwat on Wednesday and reviewed security arrangements in the district.
During his visit he said that work on the Safe City project in Lakki Marwat and Bannu was progressing and would help strengthen law and order in the region.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Model Police Station the IG Police said that terrorism had affected the entire province and in response the police force had been equipped with modern weapons and bulletproof vehicles.
He added that additional training was also being provided to police personnel to enhance their capacity to counter terrorism.
The IG Police thanked the Marwat community for standing with the police in efforts to eliminate terrorism.
He said that more police stations would be established in the district to improve service delivery and ensure timely response.
He added that the police had bravely confronted terrorism and restored law and order in the region.
The IGP Police assured that every possible facility would be provided to the Lakki Marwat police and urged the public to extend full cooperation to law enforcement agencies.
