LODHRAN, Dec 10 (APP):The district police on Wednesday conducted a mock exercise aimed at assessing the preparedness and to tackle any emergency-like situation.
Personnel from the district police, Rescue 1122, traffic police, and other relevant departments participated in the practical drill. According to police spokesperson, the exercise was organized to evaluate the ability of all concerned departments to respond swiftly and effectively during emergency.
The mock exercises would be held at each circle in phases for the safety of lives and properties of citizens. The all stages including arrest of the armed suspects and clearing the area as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
District Police Officer (DPO) Capt (retd) Ali Bin Tariq stated that the primary objective of the mock exercise was to test the capacity of institutions and ensure seamless coordination among them. He added that these drills would help to handle major incidents in a systematic and organized manner.
The DPO further said that the district police were fully prepared to counter any subversive activity.
