ISLAMABAD, Dec 10 (APP):Federal Minister for Human Rights Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar has issued a special message on the occasion of International Human Rights Day 2025, reaffirming that the protection and promotion of human rights remains a national priority for Pakistan.
In his message, the Minister stated that Pakistan is committed to safeguarding the freedom, dignity, and fundamental rights of all its citizens. He emphasized that “the Constitution of Pakistan and international human rights principles guide the country’s efforts toward building a just and inclusive society”.
Senator Tarar underscored that equality, justice, and inclusion form the foundations of a strong and prosperous nation. He reiterated that every individual has the inherent right to live with freedom, respect, and dignity. He noted that the government continues to take concrete steps to protect citizens’ rights and enhance awareness across the country.
Highlighting the nation’s moral framework, the Minister stated that Islam teaches justice, equality, and respect for humanity, while Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision continues to define Pakistan’s collective direction. He also acknowledged the valuable cooperation of the United Nations, international partners, and civil society in advancing human rights in Pakistan.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to the future, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar said that building a fair, inclusive, and equitable Pakistan for the coming generations is a shared responsibility. Concluding his message, he prayed: “May Allah grant us steadfastness and bless our efforts with success.”
