SUKKUR, Dec 09 (APP):Provincial Minister for Works and Services and Prisons, Haji Ali Hassan Zardari held an open court at Sachal Auditorium Khairpur, where over 100 applicants submitted their applications and complaints, said a handout here on Tuesday.
The Minister directed the concerned officers, including the DIG Prisons, DC, SSP, and Chairman Municipal Committee Khairpur, to resolve the public’s issues on a priority basis.
Addressing the media at Haji Nawab Khan Wasan House, Haji Ali Hassan Zardari said that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had instructed him to hold an open court in Khairpur to listen to the people’s problems.
He said that the DC and SSP Khairpur were new to the district, and he had directed them to resolve the public’s issues and work for the people.
He also spoke about the tribal feuds in Sindh, said that he would request President Asif Ali Zardari to form a committee to resolve these issues.
The Minister also announced that the Jaskani road would be constructed, and work on the Mehran Highway would start soon. He said that he would personally inspect the roads and ensure their construction.
Regarding the prisons, he said that he had visited the jail at 4 am and directed the authorities to improve the conditions.
He also announced that the Thul jail would be extended, and the Khairpur jail’s compound wall would be constructed soon.
The open court was attended by Senator Syed Kazim Ali Shah, PPP leader Fida Hussain Wasan, District Council Chairman Nadir Shawkat Rajper, IG Prisons Fida Hussain Mastoi, DC Altaf Ahmed Chachar, SSP Dr. Samiullah Soomro, and other officials.
