DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Dec 08 (APP): Rescue 1122 Lakki Marwat responded to 228 various types of incidents last week while providing emergency services to the public promptly at their doorstep.
The emergency services are being provided under the leadership of District Emergency Officer Bilal Afridi, following directives from Director General Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Tayyab Abdullah and Director Operations South Region Imran Khan Yousafzai.
According to the Rescue 1122 spokesman, during the past week, Rescue 1122 received a total of 3,034 calls, including 1,580 unnecessary or fake calls and 1,226 informational calls.
According to details, the rescue team responded to 184 medical cases, 31 road traffic accidents, 4 incidents of fights or shootings, and 5 fire incidents. During this period, 217 patients were safely transported to hospitals, and on-site medical assistance was provided.
Moreover, Rescue 1122 also provided referral services and responded to 64 emergencies, transferring 10 patients within the district and 54 patients to other districts.
In total, 69 patients benefited from Rescue 1122’s referral service.
The media coordinator of the service has urged the public to make calls only in genuine emergencies so that the team can provide timely and effective responses.
