ISLAMABAD, Dec 07 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police arrested a man in the Tarnol area after he allegedly attempted to abduct a local technician at gunpoint.
An official told APP on Sunday that the incident took place after Maghrib on 5 December, when the complainant Burhanuddin, a resident of the Noor Hospital–26 Number Choongi area, submitted a written application to the police. He reported that the accused, Muhammad Ishaq, had tried to forcefully take him away while brandishing a pistol.
According to the FIR No. 805/25, the complainant stated he previously worked as a technician at Ishaq’s medical store near Motorway Chowk but left the job due to unpaid wages. He later opened his own small shop near Noor Hospital. Burhanuddin said that Ishaq arrived at his new shop, abused him, and demanded that he return to work.
When he refused, Ishaq allegedly pulled out a pistol hidden in his waistband, placed it on his temple, dragged him out of the shop, and tried to push him into a vehicle. Locals gathered at the scene, freed Burhanuddin, and snatched the weapon from the suspect.
Police said that responding officers reached the location and collected evidence, including video footage and eyewitness statements. The case was transferred to Tarnol Police Station, where the suspect was taken into custody.
The FIR states that the incident falls under Sections 365 (kidnapping attempt) and 506(ii) (criminal intimidation) of the Pakistan Penal Code. Further investigation is under way.
