FGPC arranges function on Defence Day

ISLAMABAD, Sep 06 (APP):Federal Government Poly Clinic (FGPC) on Thursday arranged a function to mark the Defence Day.
Addressing the event Executuve Director FGPC Dr Shahid Hanif said that the day is observed every year to pay tribute to the martyrs and Ghazis, who defend the motherland against aggression of enemy.
He said the primary reason behind observing the day was to inform the new generation about those who lost their lives in protection of the country and to remind them the duties to do something for your country as they did.
He said that nation is still committed to face every challenge in defending their motherland. The entire nation stand with valiant armed forces of the country, he added.
He paid rich tribute to the martyrs for their sacrifices in defending the motherland and added the nation will never forget their martyrs being a great nation.
Dr Sharif Astori urged unity in nation to defeat the evil designs and conspiracies of the enemy.
He said that on this day the entire nation should pay tribute to the martyrs and their relatives for their great sacrifices for country.
He said that such sacrifices rendered by armed forces and the civilians in war on terror demand carrying on the spirit forging unity among our ranks.
