LAHORE, Dec 06 (APP):The Counter Narcotics Force (CNF) Punjab has dismantled an inter-district narcotics network in Gujranwala, recovering 174 kilograms of narcotics, including 125 kilograms of high-quality cannabis and 49 kilograms of opium, during a targeted intelligence-based operation.
According to the CNF spokesperson, the operation was launched following crucial information from the National Control System (NCS). Acting swiftly, the CNF team encircled the suspects, conducted the raid, and apprehended the traffickers, who are currently under interrogation as investigations continue.
The spokesperson added that CNF Punjab’s continuous monitoring, modern operational methods, and intelligence-based actions have significantly curtailed the ability of drug traffickers to evade the law. He said the successful operation reflects the Punjab government’s commitment to eradicating drugs from society.
He added that CNF Punjab remains vigilant to protect youth from narcotics and urged citizens to report suspicious drug-related activities through helpline 1012, reinforcing efforts to ensure a safer and healthier Punjab.
