Punjab Health Minister reviews Progress of Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Center in Samli, Murree

RAWALPINDI, Dec 06 (APP): Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique Saturday chaired an important meeting at the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) to review the development and operational progress of the Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Center in Samli, Murree.
The meeting was attended by Executive Director of the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology, Professor Dr. Misbah Siddiqua, Medical Superintendent Dr. Qurban Hussain, MS of Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Center Dr. Qaiser Abbasi, and other relevant officials.
During the meeting, Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique reviewed the progress of the Samli Cardiology Center and stressed the need to make it fully operational within the prescribed timeline.
He said the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, is committed to providing the public with the best possible medical facilities, and the Health Department is working tirelessly to fulfill this promise.
The minister urged health officials to actively contribute to ensuring the center becomes fully functional.
Highlighting the achievements over the past 18 months, he said the credit for providing modern cardiac facilities to the public goes to the Chief Minister and the Punjab government.
The project is expected to provide state-of-the-art cardiac care to the residents of Murree and surrounding areas.
During the meeting, officials also reviewed the latest status of medical equipment and human resources for the center. The government of Punjab is investing millions of rupees in advanced machinery for cardiac projects, marking a historic milestone in the province’s healthcare development.
The Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Center would become a leading medical facility, offering advanced treatment to patients in Murree and neighboring regions, the Minister added.
