KARACHI, Dec 06 (APP): Pakistan People’s Party (Ladies Wing) President Faryal Talpur inaugurated the three-day 17th Sartyoon Sang Crafts Exhibition at Ocean Mall here Saturday.
Organized by Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) in collaboration with the Sindh Government, the exhibition showcases the work of thousands of rural women artisans from across Sindh.
Faryal Talpur praised the Sindh Government’s efforts to empower rural women and promote Sindh’s handicrafts. She emphasized the need to provide market access to local artisans and promote cultural heritage.
On the occasion, Provincial Minister for Planing and Development Jam Khan Shoro, Parliamentary Sectetay Planing and Development, Sadia Javed, Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad, Chairperson Naheed Shah Durani and others were also present.
CEO SRSO, Muhammad Dittal Kalhoro, stated that the exhibition aims to facilitate better income opportunities for rural women artisans. The SRSO has established Business Development Groups (BDGs) in operational districts, training over 15,000 women members in various skills.
The exhibition features over 7,000 products, including textiles, baskets, jewelry and traditional clothing, showcasing Sindh’s rich cultural heritage.
